Biography
Jaym O’Esso is a Swiss-Canadian singer-songwriter, performer, and two-time cancer survivor.
After losing his mother to cancer at the age of ten, Jaym began writing songs as a way to process emotions he could not yet articulate. Years later, he lost his father to cancer as well, becoming an orphan by eighteen. Creativity quickly became more than an outlet, it became survival.
Determined to pursue a life in performance, Jaym trained professionally in ballet before joining Béjart Ballet Lausanne, touring internationally with one of the world’s most prestigious dance companies. While building his career as a dancer, he continued developing his voice as a singer-songwriter, creating work driven by emotional honesty, cinematic storytelling, and lived experience.
In 2025, after previously overcoming cancer in 2018, Jaym faced the disease for a second time, a life-altering chapter that forced him to pause and rebuild once again. Through recovery, he returned to the art forms that had carried him throughout his life: music, movement, and storytelling.
Now entering a new chapter, Jaym O’Esso is fully focused on building his career as a recording artist, creating work that transforms vulnerability into connection and personal history into art.
